Save the Dates - information

I'd keep it to just save the dates and then put more info on your actual invites, but only if you think they will have enough time to book accommodation when you send your actual invites. If the area is pretty popular and if your getting married in a peak month you may want to give them more notice so they can book accommodation before it all gets booked up

Personally I would add an insert to say if they want some options to let you know and you can send on. Tbh most hotels won't have rooms released that far in advance but your guests can then look at the hotels to get a ballpark figure of pricing in advance, as it may impact their decision as to whether they can come as there will be high cost involved as you say with traveling from Sa already. We also said that if anybody knew now that they couldn't come because they booked a holiday or something to let us know as this then helped us to be able to move some of our evening guests up onto our day list in advance rather than wait until nearer the time
