I wanted to seek some advice. I have got my dress (Charlotte Balbier Edith) from a wedding dress shop in Essex. It is from 2013 range so no one in London had it. The shop itself is miles from me as I live in south west London and they don't have their own onsite seamstress and suggested better for me to get someone local to me.
Does anyone have any recommendations for good seamstresses in the Kinsgton/Raynes Park/Wimbledon area? I am happy to also look further afield. My BM got her wedding dress at All That Glitters and I approached them for their independent seamstress' details but all they did was take my number and offer to pass it on and I have heard nothing back and cannot reach them on the phone. I've also seen mixed reviews about them online.
I got the dress in a sale and understand it only really needs taken up, so I don't want to end up spending more on the alterations than on the dress!
