They had them last week too over the Sunderland blokes. They have been doing it a fair bit recently which seems daft

Can i just point out that the shankill road is not what belfast is typically like.

i think they've picked the ugliest bits to show how "deprived" the area is.

I was wondering how things were going to work when it comes to giving out the money at the end. If everything is segragated, and he's living in the Protestant part of West Belfast, does that mean that the money he gives will be to Protestant projects ?

I would assume so unless he gives to integrated projects

Oops hope I didn't offend anyone by saying the people from Sunderland last week were Geordies (sorry if I did)

I think that the people last week who lived locally also said the same - I guess its for affect. I am assuming that these areas they are talking about are as bad as they seem.

I've just turned over to this. He's a nice enough chap but the best they can hope for is he bankrupts them and spends some of their cash on dud racehorses.

No worries, just dinnit call us geordies again, otherwise you will be in serious trouble ?.

Yes last week, they showed the worst area possible in Sunderland, but I guess thats the point of these programmes.

I'm starting to think this programme has run its course now, people must be guessing easily now that they are secret millionaires.

It's so surreal watching this programme. He used to be my boss a year/18 months ago!

I think they always choose the most deprived areas of each city as I guess that is where the need is greatest. So every city portrayed has had the same treatment. They do usually make it quite clear that the area featured is the most deprived area in the opening scenes.

I just wonder if there are lots of genuine people out there volunteering and if after two weeks, the organisations they work for are waiting for them to reveal that they are actually... millionaires! What a disappointment it must be...

I'm delighted that he gave the boxing club and the girl money.

I've never paid much attention to this programme before but I guess it doesn't sit right with me. Ultimately he's doing it for cheap publicity. Over the past few months he's made about 75% of his employees redundant (of only about 40 to start with - this last month another 10 have gone) So a few of my friends and former colleagues are now unable to pay their mortgage but he still has the cash to advertise on primetime tv.

The first lot was about a year ago. As I said he's a nice enough chap it just seems a bit odd in the context of everything else happening to him as a 'business man' iykwim?

I enjoyed it this week, I didn't like last week's very much so was glad it was better again tonight. I think the format is probably going to be past it after this series though.
