Can anyone suggest an appropriate song for the congregation to sing at our non-religious wedding? The MOST IMPORTANT thing is that it’s not a love song sung from one lover to another. I’ve searched loads of lists of secular wedding songs and most of them are this. I don’t want my congregation singing “I love you” type lyrics - that’s just weird for communal singing! The only appropriate song I’ve come across so far is All You Need Is Love, but I don’t want the Beatles. I really wanted The Trees of the Fields but it’s religious! Any traditional songs about about joy, love or happiness would be great - something that the older generation will know! Thanks x

I feel sure this will help - the fantastic pianist playing for my wedding has published about 5 years' worth of song requests on his website and I am currently going through them!

So have a look at Simon Jordan pianist for that list - I feel like a kiddie in a sweetie shop! Tina
