Sending a telegram

My friend is getting married in Las Vegas in a couple of weeks. I thought about sending them a telegram, to arrive on the day they get married.

Anyone ever sent one, can you recommend any websites/companies?

Or would just posting a card to them be better, what do you think?

I'm stuck for what to do, she only sprung this on me last night. I thought about getting them champagne or something.

    I was married in New York and on the day of the wedding my friends sent a fax message to the hotel. It was a lovely gesture.

    God I would LOVE to get a telegram. I assuem you need to speak to the post office? I'm going to get someone to send me one.

    I really missed having telegrams read out at my wedding, its probably the only thing I imagined abotu my wedding day, after finding my parents when I was a kid.

    Some friends sent and email to be read out, but our twat BM was too busy with his awful, homopobic and offensive speech to bother. not that I'm bitter, oh no.

    If you know what hotel they'll be staying at then you could email the concierge there to order and pre-pay for champagne to the room.

    Thanks all. I've tried the Post Office, they don't do telegrams.

    ETA - I've found it. It used to be BT but it's now http://www.telegramsonline.co.uk/index1.asp
