Shoe hurt help!!

mummy, 22 November, 2008 at 09:39 Posted on Planning 0 6

Right, got my shoes a few weeks back in a bridal shop sale, for a bargainous £15. SO all is not lost if I change my mind, BUT I (am not marrying until March so have time to break them in!) I have them on this morning with my jeans and my socks lol, as I remembered when I tried them that the sandel bit across the toe was a bit stiff so I'd have to 'break them in' on that bit but having tottered around the house trying to put washing on etc, the pressure on my soles is a little paining, but I don't wear heels that often. So shall I just keep wearing them round the house of saturday morning and also try to start wearing other heels more often to get myself used to it by march, or give up entirely and look for something different?!

    The soles hurt????

get those gels or flower petals for them! stick them on the sole and instant comfyness... plus I did see the equivalent for shoe straps somewhere, they stick on to straps.... but where I saw them I cant remember!!!!!!! Boots? superdrug? or some website.... if i recall I'll let you knnow!

    Hi mummy,

Are the heels really high (like rediculously out of your normal heel height?)

If they are I would say look for something else. If they're not though and they're within your 'norms' then persevere. If you keep wearing them around the house you will break them in and get used to them.

Also, if the problem is the pressure on the soles of your feet, I would really recommend you invest in a pair of party feet. They are gel pad things that you put in your shoes to stop you feet pushing against the hard soles of the shoes. I love them and wear them all the time with heels!!They're about a fiver and they last for ages (they dont stick into your shoes so you can take them out and wear them in other shoes) x

Fabbo, have just goggled then ebayed and lots on there. Bidding on some right now lol. Thank you! Will give them a go! they are a bit higher than 'normal' (when i wear heels at all!) but the heel is stable and they are the sort of style i normally manage with if I wear heels at all. Will give the gel pads a try once I win some lol and see how we go over the next few weeks.

I hope the postman doesn't knock on the door right now, with ym grey socks I look ridiculous!!!

    cheers girlies xxx

Yeah stick with them in that case, the gel pads should do the trick!

Could be worse, at least your dressed, you could be in your pj's with your grey socks and wedding shoes lol! x

Better than party feet are foot petals, plus you can get padding for straps:

Just a note of caution about things like gel pads. I got a pair a little while ago and because of the extra padding it makes the depth between the bottom and top of your shoes smaller so I found my shoes started to rub on the top of my foot where my toes had been raised up by the gel pad.

    ☹️
