Show me your Save The Date ideas!

Hello!

My fiance and I are going to send out Save the Date cards but I just want some ideas...I have a few but when I've put them into practice they don't look as nice as I thought!

So show me yours pleeeeeeease!?

    The letters we're holding in the first three pictures were bought on eBay and painted. In the bottom picture, we're just holding a sheet and the typeface was photoshopped on after. Most of the work was in photoshop. H2B's thing, not mine!

    Can't flash as I'm at work, but we got magnets from Vista Print with a picture of us and text saying 'xxx & xxx are getting married on xxx. Please save the date!' Everyone said they were great and as they go on your fridge, people actually remember the date! Loving everyone else's ideas - they all look fab!

    Here is our design:


    Ours was a free template from weddingchicks.com, which we uploaded onto Vistaprint and got made into magnets when they emailed through an offer. I got 50 magnets for £15.

    This is ours. Wanted to make it personal so used a picture. Everyone has given us great feedback. I wasn't so sure at first, but when I put it together I liked it.

    You guys are all amazing! I love all your ideas. The Wedding Chicks is a brilliant resource isn't it? Think I'll go down the same route as you, cinnamonfairy (great name btw!)

    I love Wedding Chicks. I think I actually squealed when I fist encountered their website! We weren't originally going to send STD's out, but as our wedding is the first weekend of half term, on a Friday, and before the bank holiday, we quickly changed our minds! But we were adamant we weren't going to spend a lot on them. So the free template and deal on Vistaprint worked really well!

    We made this at the Yorkshire Sculpture park (where we're getting married) in very sculptury stylie (think Andy Goldsworthy) and sent it as a text on 24th August last year that said:

    On this day, one year ahead

    Jo and Luke will be wed

    It might seem quite some time to wait

    But please make sure you save the date!
