Signing frame - what pen?

Maldives2013, 6 of November of 2013 at 13:01 Posted on Planning 0 3

A bit of a random question...

We have decided to go for a signing frame on the wedding day rather than a guest book. If anyone has done this on here, what sort of pen did you provide for people to write on it with (they will be writingon the mount, not the actual frame)?

It's something I haven't even thought about until now!

Thanks in advance

A sharpie is the way to go. You can get them with fine nibs as well as the fatter ones you'd generally associate with them. Fair enough they're not the sexiest of pens to look at - it's not like everyone signing the board with a quill dipped in ink - but they're solid, clear and most importantly the ink will last. Definitely what I supply or recommend to my clients.

Second vote for a sharpie - and bring a couple just in case. My sister's one went 'missing' but we had a few spare - one of the BM's had a stash just in case!

Our photographer (who provides the frame) suggests using pencil as it won't fade and I said it has the added bonus of being able to be rubbed off if anyone e.g. signs twice if they forget after they've had a few drinks!
