Silk flowers instead of fresh flowers

Sarah, 6 June, 2021 at 15:30 Posted on Planning 0 1
Hi everyone just after some advice.

I went to finalise our wedding flowers today. We originally paid the full balance back in January 2020 as we were meant to get married April 2020, but for fresh flowers it has now gone up nearly £300. If we were to have fresh bouquets and silk centrepieces it would remain the same price. I was wondering what your thoughts are on silk flowers for centrepieces? Thanks x

I think it depends on the quality of the silk flowers, have they got any samples or photos they could show you before you commit? We are having foam and silk flowers for our center-pieces and they are nearly the same cost as fresh flowers, we are having them in large martini glasses though.

We’re having paper flowers for the bridal bouquet, bridesmaids flowers, and boutonnières, these are also a similar price to fresh flowers.
I think it can depend on the supplier and where they are sourcing the fresh flowers/materials from too.
