janeyh, 16 May, 2008 at 10:38 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 10

I know this has been done to death but cant find any of the old threads on this

i have tried liz earle and i do quite like it but it is fairly expensive (especially for all the products my haggard old face apparently needs ?)

any other recommendations?

mid 30s, normal/combination skin - few lines, the odd spot - but mainly just dull and bleurrgh looking

Ive started using L'oreal serum and garnier day cream, I like the day cream and the serum is lovely.

    Boots P&P was good though.

What are you looking for, the whole shebang e.g. cleanser, moisturiser, eye cream?

I love Origins stuff but it's probably slightly more expensive than Liz Earle. Lush moisturisers are fantastic as well and definitely worth looking at, they have about 5 different ones depending on your skin type and budget, they really are fab.

I wash my face in cheap sh1t, well not literally sh1t of course - Tesco have a really good Bharti Vyas face wash for about £3 and it gets all my makeup off. The Boots Botanics eyemakeup remover that people have recommended on here is also really good, also £3.

I tried the Aldi day and night creams the other day as well, they're £1.49 or something???? And I'm actually quite impressed. I hate the smell, but the night cream in particular still feels nice on my face the next morning instead of disappearing into the ether. And I'm usually a Creme de la Mer girl?

I'm a District Manager with Arbonne Internationa and can highly reccommend the RE9 anti aging range. I've used the products for approx 3 years and have been amazed by the difference in my skin.

I can PM you more information if you're interested, don't want to break any rules by posting links here!

    Thanks all

yep - the whole shebang flump - i have been neglecting myself for years now and i want to try and be a little more groomed

this is what confuses me though - there are so many things and should they be from the same brand? i have tried the tesco stuff and it was quite nice

i thought about the p&p stuff ATG - not least because here in the *** end of nowhere it would be easier to get hold of than most stuff

i suppose anything would be ok so long as you keep using it - right? (or wrong?)

pretty in pink - yeah - mail me thats fine - but not sure how it works now or you can flickr mail me (have i got the right person??)

Ooh interesting, I got accosted by an American lady on the train to London a few months ago about this range, she was trying to recruit me to be a sales rep but I wasn't really interested. She gave me a sample pack but I never tried it, as it looked a bit "pretendy science" to me ?

? I can't think of anything worse than approaching someone on a train but hey ho, each to thier own!!

I started using the products because my (American) step mother is involved with company... it did take her about 2 years to talk me into it mind you! I was loyal to another fancy nancy expensive brand that I'd been using for years and had no interest in using new products or becoming involved in the business however long story short, I eventually tried them, loved them and have never looked back. I started selling the products in November last year as I was pregnant with my first child and decided that I didn't want to have to return to work full time (social worker!) so started this for a bit of extra cash. It has grown arms and legs though and now I won't be going back to work at all. The products are amazing... I could never sell anything that I didn't believe in!

Jeezo, it could well have been. I actually wouldn't be surprised because that is totally her style whereas I'm far more reserved! ?

Let me know what you think of the products, I'd love to hear your opinion!

I use Liz Earle but I had heard that Tesco's Be Natural range is very similar, possibly even made by Liz Earle for Tesco, so I bought the eye cream from Tesco and I rather like that. It might be worth giving the other products a go to see if they are the same?
