Skincare

Hello,

I have very sensitive skin with PCOS hormonal acne (contraception helps to a point), large pores on each cheek beside my nose and a dark patch on the cheek under my left eye.I’ve called my GP about this and sent a photo. She said it’s purely cosmetic. She didn’t think a dermatology referral was required.I’ve also seen an aesthetic nurse and she said most likely melisma due to sun damage. I now wear a high SPF facial sunscreen everyday.
I’ve never really taken great care of myself or my skin. The dark patch also has closed comedones. I’ve been unable to find any concealer to cover it up even with colour correction methods. Too much makeup and it’s even more obvious than before.
We’re not planning to get married until at least 2023 and I wanted to start sorting out my skin now and it can take some time to find the right regime and for results to start to show.
Does anyone have any ideas I could try such as websites for advice or even camouflage makeup? I’m 33 and I also have big issues trying to conceal dark circles under my eyes. I’ve tried all kind of techniques with concealer, foundation and eye creams. The skin around my eyes is mature. My eyes are quite hooded and there’s no eyelid in sight when they’re open but that’s a question for another time!
I would see a private dermatologist when finances allow but that could be a while.
Does anyone with skin similar to mine have a tried and tested skincare regime? I want my skin to be as clear as possible for the wedding. I’m not the most attractive bride so clear skin would be a bonus!
Thanks x

I can't really help, sorry, but just wanted you to know you're not alone - my problem is eczema. The stress of the pandemic and postponing the wedding twice has made my eczema spread to my face - it's red, dry and sore. I've finally found a cream that works (Epaderm, if anybody else is interested) but it's still not 100% and I'm worried it still won't be by the time my third wedding date comes around (april 2021).

Eczema can have a huge affect especially on your face.
I sometimes get it on my knuckles after wearing non latex gloves (but I managed to wear them for years in the NHS!). E45 is my saviour.

I really hope it begins to settle for you. It seems we may be heading in the right direction with Covid and hopefully the cream will have time to work it’s magic. Fingers crossed for you ??You will get there!

Thank you! E45 never worked for me, but fingers crossed the Epaderm carries on working. I hope you find something that works for your skin, too.

I've seen great results with skincare from PHI Clinic in London. They're not the cheapest but they do have a couple of options for prescription and non-prescription ranges and I think they have some before and afters on their website. I'm a patient personally (although I've not tried the skincare, only the injectables) and the level of care and attention the doctors and nurses give you is second to none!

When choosing an online casino, it is important to pay attention to security, ease of withdrawal and the range of games. I study the market, test casinos and analyze their features in order to recommend only reliable platforms. In 2025, special attention is paid to mobile applications - a user-friendly interface and fast payouts are becoming the standard Casino Apps UK with Spyfall . Among the top operators, we can highlight Incognito Casino, Fat Pirate, Gransino and Casinolab - they offer generous bonuses, reliable data protection and a wide range of games. Choose licensed sites with transparent conditions and enjoy the game responsibly!
