This reminded me of a classic slip-up that happened when Diana Dors returned to her home town of Swindon to open a village fête (or some such).

She talked to the vicar beforehand, and suggested that it would be a really cool idea to introduce her by her real name, Diana Fluck, as many people there would remember her from the time before she was famous.

So the vicar duly mounted the podium and began his spiel, saying that they were privileged to have a major film star in their midst, but because she was a local girl at heart she wanted to be introduced by her real name, "which is - and I must get this absolutely right - Diana Clunt".
