SLD - Um Bongo Update

Lidl deffo had Um Bongo in stock last time I went as I can remeber singing Um Bongo in my head all the way round(its a catchy tune)

? Well Tescos in Winchester don't stock it as I had suspected, but I think that my local Waitrose at Tower Bridge do... I am going to surprise my friend by buying some on Saturday and leaving it in the fridge to see if he notices. ?

Mal, according to Wiki it's never been sold in TDRC - so I think the jingle uses a large degree of poetic licence, for shame!

They certainly drink it in the Congo, but I hear that in Angola they favour Coca-Cola.

Is it Congo? I thought it was jungle. As in "Um bongo, um bongo, they drink it in the jungle" I need to go and find the rest of the words now.

Um Bongo brings back bad memories for me. I remember a gorilla (well a man dressed as a gorilla) given away free Um Bongo in Bristol Zoo when I was about 10. I drank so much of it (well it was free) I made myself very ill and was (tmi) puking Um Bongo all the way back to Welsh Wales.
