sleepless nights!

bex_101, 2 August, 2008 at 09:55 Posted on Planning 0 5

I'm getting married 1 week tomorrow and seriously paniking! I can't sleep for worry! Last night I realised I'd missed a facial appointment, worried about the weather, worried that I'd counted the number of guests wrong or missed someone from the seating plan, I remebered that when I e-mailed the venue with the plan I missed of the Vegie meals. Then I started to worry about returning to school in Septemeber and a letter that I have forgotten to send out.

Now I'm up because neightbour decided to cut grass at 8.30.

I think I've changed into a whingy, whiney worrying mess! Anyone else like this?

I think it's natural to have little worries at this stage, just try to keep calm and see the bigger picture.

Try keeping a notebook ny the side of your bed, so when you are laying awake thinking about something, you can write it doen to deal with it in the morning, and get it out of your head, IYSWIM?

I'm like this all the time anyway...I dread to think what I'll be like the week before the wedding. It's natural that all the little details will be bothering you as you'll be thinking about the day and won't want to forget anything. I was going to suggest the notebook as well - that way you can just write anything down as you think about it and then won't have to spend ages worrying that you'll have forgotten it by the morning. Good luck!

It's natural, pop to the chemist and buy some Rescue Remedy, its helps comfort and reassure (as it says on the tin) you can buy drops or pastilles. Try them, a lot of peeps recommend them.

I get married a week today and I've been having sleepless nights too! Maybe we could sit and text each other during the night as I'm getting very bored being awake and worrying! Ironically herbal sleeping tablets have the opposite effect on me but I'll be looking for the rescue remedy tomorrow. This week I'm going to set my alarm and get up early all week in an attempt to tire myself out and get into a better routine as I'm off work and usually crashing out at 3am and waking like a zombie at 9. I've also being having "night terrors" (hallucination things) which are related to stress. How are you feeling in the day?
