slightly o/t - how do you remove tea stains from tea cups?

PennyFarthing, 17 August, 2009 at 12:01 Posted on Planning 0 9

My little vintage crockery collection is growing somewhat but although they've received a good soapy wash, some of the cups have got a lovely nice tea stained rim on the bottom of them where they stand on the saucer. Does anyone know how I can get rid of this?

Many thanks in advance.

Steradent tablets, also they are great for removing toilet stains, just chuck a couple down the pan overnight.

My dishwasher gets rid of mine , but I wouldn't put vintage stuff in there. My mum always swore by using Milton sterilizing fliud or tablets for baby's bottles!
