3 time a week is a bit excessive and dangerous - wouldn't you rather just go for a fake bake / st tropez 2-3 days before the big day instead?

i would rather have a Spray tan done, but i have strap marks and i was told a spray tanm would turn my white bits brown and my brown bits even browner so i would have an uneven tan, have you had a spray tan done before?

If you are burnt, stay away from sunbeds.

If you burn easily, stay away from sunbeds!

And no decent tanning salon would let you use their beds 3 times a week for 3 weeks....

If you started to use something like Dove Self Tan now you'd have a bit of colour in 3 weeks or like Rachele said, a fake bake/St T just before (although you will need a good 3 days for the smell to go away and to not risk getting tan on your dress!!)

I always use Dove tinted moisuriser and then 'upgrade' to St Tropez for special occassions. I never use sunbeds. ever, ever, ever! I went on once in my youth (3rd time using one) and it blew up on me and I ended up in hospital with 100% 3rd degree burns. Nasty things - use fake tan instead!

I never, ever use sunbeds, the risk is far too great compared with having a bit of a tan for a few days.

Please don't go especially if you're burnt already.

I wouldn't bother with the sunbeds, i'd give your sun burn chance to calm down a bit and then a couple of days before the wedding get a fake tan.

I used to go on sunbeds when i was younger but since i realised how bad they are for you i've stayed away, don't put your health at risk for the sake of looking good for your wedding.

its not that i am worried about having a tan, i have got really bad strap marks and i have a strapless dress, i rang the salon about having a St Tropez and she told me it wouldn't cover my strap marks, i really don't want to use a sun bed but i can't see any other alterntaive other than having reallty bad strap marks in all my wedding pictures.

if i were to use Dove tinted moisturiser everyday would it cover my strap marks?

In 3 weeks the chances are your straplines will have disapeared a bit anyway. Next time you're out in the sun wear a strapless top and the strap lines will soon fade away.

but surely going on a sunbed wont get rid of the marks either, where you have burned will just tan quicker

stay away from the sunbed and but some tinted moisturiser on

Call me old fashioned but I'd rather have strap marks than skin cancer anyday.

I had this last year! I just applied the Dove cream to the white bits a couple of times before doing it all over. Worked quite well.

I agree that 3 sunbeds a week is very excessive, but spray/fake tan isnt for everyone.

I have one sunbed every 2 weeks, but in the weeks leading up to the wedding Ill have one a week. After the wedding Ill knock it on the head, I dont think itll do any harm having a couple but defo not 3 a week. Just make sure you go to a proper salon and not one with cheap and potentially dangerous sunbeds.

Sunbed shops are better than salons with a sunbed in them.

    Hope that helps x

On the fake tan subject I wouldnt do this as I end up with a rash from most that I have tried. Which isnt nice.

I also manage to streak the Dove too!

    I'm not good with tanning!

How? The risk of skin cancer is exactly the same.

I'm not adverse to using sun beds on the run up to special occassions. I've been using one twice a week for the past 3 weeks got another 4 sessions then I won't use one again until Christmas.

I think as long as you use them safely and cover up any moles then only you know your own body and can make the decision if they are best for you.

In answer to your first question, no assistant in a sun bed salon would allow you on back on their bed's if they believe you to be burnt.
