Slimming World Inspiration..LUNCHES

Flowmojo, 16 January, 2012 at 12:29 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 22

I know lots of us are following so hopefully lots of ideas! I find red day lunches harder to come up with then green day lunches, i normally end up having some wholemeal cracker bread as part fo my HEB with cucumber and stuff and a muller (and lots of fruit) or a mugshot. Its the kind of office where I coudlnt sit at my desk munching on a jacket spud much to my annoyance!

Inspire me with both your red and green day lunches!!

My green day staple lunch is spaghetti or beans on toast (HeB) with some form of cheese (HeA).

Red day is normally a BLT sandwich or ham salad sandwich, or leftovers of whatever red day dinner I have. Sometimes will make a toastie, or cheese and bacon/ham on toast. I don't like eggs, but Mr Knees' favourite red day lunch is a ham/bacon omelette.

When the weather gets a bit warmer and I can bear to eat a plate of cold salad from the fridge, I'll have a chicken salad on a red day and a rice/couscous salad on a green day.

    I'm on EE too.

Usually have: jacket potato, cottage cheese & tuna OR soup OR salad. Some of the Mug Shots aren't too bad either if you're at a loose end.

Well I've just been home and had a bacon sandwich* ?

I am going to kick myslef later when the scales don't tell me what I want them to!

*In my defence I did cut all the fat off and it was grilled.

Em of course it was brown bread... ?

Seriously Claire, what good is a bacon sandwich if you're going to ruin it with brown bread? ?

Honestly Claire I bet I've put on at least a pound. (This will of course be all down to Mrs. Spot and will have nothing to do with the bread.) I'm going to walk the dog as soon as I get in tonight for a bit of damage limitation ?

On a plus note... I have had no chocolate or crisps for a whole week so that is an achievement all of it's own.

Dare I ask the result? ?

I don't really get the fascination with weighing as little as you can for that weigh in as surely you'll just have to do the same every week?

On the plus side, if I have eaten a bacon sandwich today and who knows what else before 7pm then if I pop the Senokot pills next week I'll be laughing my way onto those scales!
