Slimming World - Quark and plain fromage frais etc

Julia., 5 August, 2008 at 12:58 Posted on Beauty & Wellbeing 0 3

This is a really quick post as I have a meeting in 5 minutes, but thought I'd post while I thought of it!

I've been doing slimming world for a couple of weeks, got lots of SW recipe books, but lots of the yummy recipes have quark or plain fromage frais in, I've looked for these in my local tesco, and I cannot find any quark or fromage frais! I can find some ff, but it's flavoured, and in tiny pots for kids.

Also, Vecon! What's that and where am I likely to find it?

Going to dash now, really hope you can help me! And I hope that I can post soon with help for others.

Thank you!

Vecon is a vegan stock cube which is syn free, you can get it from health food stores, maybe try there for quark as well. Not sure about the fromage frais, is i'd have guessed with the big tubs of natural youghurt?

I want to know where to find extra low fat fromage frais, natural yoghurt, creme fraiche and cottage cheese, I can find reduced fat and low fat, but not extra low, and I love creme fraiche so it would be fab if I could find where to get it from! Anyone know?

They have fromage frais at our tesco - it's a healthy living range - it's not directly with the yoghurts, i'm trying to remember where it is - it think perhaps near either the butter section, the cream/milk section or the dips and potato salads. Sorry my memory is awful!

It's not in a yoghurt like container exactly, its similar but has a re-sealable lid.

Sorry thats probably not much help! I love fromage frais though! Like a fresh version of mayo.

If you like tuna/mayo - try tuna/fromage frais, yummy!
