    a bit yeh lol

its what u eat WITH it that matters...its about how your body processes types of food (carbs, proteins etc) This is why i only do red day (meat) or green days (carbs). ON a green day i can eat as many jacket spuds, pasta, rice, cous cous etc as i like with a measure amount of meat . On a red day, i can eat as much lean mince, chicken, turkey and a measured amount of pots, pasta, rice etc. I dont know why or how but it works..and 3 stone later im still doing it so hurrah!!

If you under do it it's counter productive as well as your body will go into starvation mode and adjust to the reduced calorie intake.

I think the slimming world plans sound like you can eat so much, I think I'd struggle to eat everything I was supposed to in a day! Looking back at what I have planned today it may not seem a lot, but I'm trying to be aware that I'll be having something unhealthy for dinner. I'm not a big eater (apart from of the wrong things!), despite being fat, so presume it's something to do with my metabolism being shot!

Some diets make you put on more weight when you go back to eating normally. Usually the ones where you aren't eating enough, your body adjusts and goes into starvation mode, and then when you do eat enough it's stored as fat straight away for when your body experiences 'starvation' again.

I don't do this diet but would be interested to hear how "synful" I am, without even knowing....Anyone make a ball-park guess?

Today: 2 x Weetabix with semi-skimmed, cup of tea with one sugar. A coffee with one sugar. Baked potato with cheese, handful of pumpkin seeds and dates (Graze!). Cup of tea with one sugar. A handful of pistachios. Salad with about 5 giant olives, the rest is fresh veg stuff (lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, pepper), a teaspoon of aioli. Some strawberries and blackberries for dessert.

ETA - Clurr, yeh, i break them into halves as soon as i get them, so that i dont end up gobbling the whole thing up!!

Assuming you were having a Green day as you are veggie -

2 x weetabix can count as your Healthy B (allowed 2 of these a day)

Semi-skimmed milk can count as Healthy A (can't remember the quantity as I don't really drink milk, but you'd have to use the whole lot for it to count)

    Tea/coffee - free

sugar - I believe 1 syn per tsp

    Baked potato - free

Cheese - could be part of your Healthy A, depending how much milk you had with your cereal and depending on the type of cheese

Seeds, dates, pistachios, olives, aioli - all syns. I'd guess probably 10 in total. Hard to say without knowing the exact amount.

    Salad stuff - all free

    Berries - all free

So basically, my sugary beverages and delight in oily fruits, nuts and seeds is pushing my syn count up? My nut and seed consumption today has totalled 350 cals (so my Graze booklet tells me). But think of all that omega-3 and selenium... Plus, the pistachios had chilli and lime coating, mmmmmm.

Yep. You can use a Healthy Extra for seeds etc on a Green day, so you could forego some bread/cereal etc for seeds/nuts.

What would veggies eat on non-green (red?) days? There's only so many eggs a woman can eat.*
*No longer eats anything containing soya so no Quorn, tofu etc.

You wouldn't really bother with red days as the whole point of them is that you can eat as much (lean) meat as you want. Eggs are free on both days.
