Small (intimate) venues Herts/Beds/Bucks

Hi all

Does anyone have any ideas about small venues in Herts / Beds / Bucks? (Pref nearish to Leighton Buzzard)

We both have tiny familys and don't wants kids at the wedding, so guest list is looking like about 30 people. Absolute tops 40 people!

We're going to view Bellows Mill but apart from that, struggling to find smaller places ...

    I did a lovely intimate wedding earlier this year at Coltsfoot Country Retreat in Hertfordshire. It can accomodate up to 60 I believe, so 40 would be really comfortable. Its a quirkiy place with a balcony , bar in a separate room with log fire etc. It really does have a lovely atmosphere. I've got piccies of it here, you can see a bit of the function room, which is the same room you have the wedding breakfast in.

    Thanks it looks really lovely but we think its too far away.

    I played last year at a small Leighton Buzzard hotel called the Hunt Hotel (www.hunthotel.co.uk) and the personal level of service the family who own it offer is to be recommended.
