So, H didn't come ski-ing this spring because the lady who sorts the work diary had him written in for the wrong month and then couldn't get cover - extreme unjustice, but that was that, no point crying over split milk, I went anyway with a big gang of mates.
We've been booked for a week singing in France since March this year, due to leave on 13th Sept. Except it turns out H has in fact booked the following week starting 20th Sept, and subsequently lots of other people booked the week of the 13th. He can only come if they can find a locum to cover Thursday and Friday, and at the moment it's not looking very likely.
Sorry, but I just have to do this. ? You'd think after the initial feck-up of the spring holiday, and given that this trip is our big summer holiday, last chance to get away before baby arrives and we've been looking forwards to it for ages, that he'd triple check the dates. And especially frustrating given that it's a singing week so the organisers need a certain balance of different voices to make it work, and if he doesn't come that stuffs things up for them. And it's very very unlikely at this late stage we'd find someone to fill his spot (got someone to take part of his ski week so at least we got a bit of that money back). ? I want my H to come on holiday!
Are there any GP locum hitchers in the East Anglia region who'd like to save our summer hol? Pleeeease?!
