Small wedding entertainment ideas

We are also having a small wedding (30, so not as small as yours) and we were also concerned about entertainment and not wanting the day to fall flat. So we have planned everything for later in the day so there isn't loads of empty time after the meal so we don't have to provide full-on evening entertainment. We're getting married mid-afternoon, having a drinks reception for a couple of hours then our wedding breakfast and speeches running about 6pm - 8.30pm, then drinks in the bar, cake cutting and sparklers to finish the evening.

I like your plan, and I think there's no point in you worrying that something might go wrong. 8 guests are my dream, just the people closest to me, and I would feel comfortable. I wouldn't need anyone else.
