Small wedding problems

Lisa, 17 April, 2025 at 17:32 Posted on Planning 0 1
Hi everyone. I'm having real trouble getting anyone to message me back about my wedding. I think because it is tiny (17 people) lot's of vendors think it is not worth their while. E.g. make up artist for just me when everyone wants to do a bridal party. Any suggestions? 😕

You might have more success if you look at people who don't push themselves as 'wedding' this that or the other, but just provide the service you want. So someone who caters for birthday parties, retirement dos etc, rather than a 'wedding caterer' or a beauty salon that provides makeup for special events rather than 'bridal makeup'. Our wedding was small and we had a similar problem, with 'wedding suppliers' insisting that we had to have 'the best', even if it came with a load of stuff we didn't want or having large minimum spends. E.g. local hairdressers that did 'bridal hair' were insisting on charging me £90 because I needed to have 'the best products' to 'stand out from everyone else', so I just went to the local salon that did ordinary hair and got a great updo for £10!
