Social media photos

Jennifer, 1 January, 2024 at 18:59 Posted on Planning 0 3
Hi all. I need to sort out the wording for our invites soon. We don’t want our day shared on social media before we get the chance too as we are not able to have everyone we would have liked. Does anyone have suggestions as to how we can word this? Especially in the build up on the day my partner doesn’t want guests saying they are off to our wedding etc!

A great way to handle this sensitively on your wedding invites is to include a polite request asking guests to keep the day off social media until after you’ve shared it. You could phrase it as something like, “We kindly ask that you refrain from posting photos or announcing our wedding on social media until we have shared our special moments.” For those who are tech-savvy or might forget, you could even suggest they use tools like the Top Follow APK to privately preview and share wedding content with close friends or family in a controlled way, ensuring your day remains personal and intimate while still allowing a curated sharing experience later. This approach balances your desire for privacy with the modern reality of social media sharing.

This forum discussion about social media photos is quite relatable, especially for couples planning weddings today. The main concern is how to politely manage when guests post event pictures before the couple shares their own official moments. People are giving practical and thoughtful suggestions about setting expectations and communicating clearly in advance. It shows how social sharing and personal boundaries now go together. Many couples also focus on reach and visibility using tools like followers badhane wala app but this thread reminds that timing, consent, and communication still matter most online.

Setting boundaries for your wedding photos is a great idea to ensure you get to share your special moment first. You might want to check out some advice from internetchicks on how to politely phrase "unplugged" requests for your guests. Adding a small, friendly note to your invitations or a sign at the venue entrance can help keep your day private until you're ready to post.
