You are my sunshine - my grandad always used to sing it Tears in heaven - v v sad The Greatest Love of all - george benson And the Johnny Cash version of If you could read my mind
Must have looked like a mad woman the other day, was driving home when the last one came on the radio- I had tears streaming down my face!?

Oh God yes. I went to see Rolf in T.Wells with my ex- who was a huge fan. I bloody howled and made an utter show of myself ?
Tears in Heaven for me too. My parents lost a child, my brother, in an accident. It makes me think of them, and that time, when I hear it. Likewise 'Abide with me' which was played at his funeral.
Jerusalem. Had it at my first wedding, welled up so much I nearly choked from trying not to cry.
Paul Weller's Wings of Speed - a time and place song. Good and bad but always makes me blub.
Another vote for Tears in Heaven. Also Wonderful Tonight by Eric Clapton and Goodnight Girl by Wet Wet Wet as these were played at my friend's funeral.

I cry easily ?

Had that at my wedding too. Didn't cry then, but I now howl at the memory.
Guide me O thou great redeemer gets me as well. Dad's funeral. And his Dad's.
God be in my head and in my understanding. My Mum's Dad's funeral.
Fix you by Coldplay. Even thinking about it now makes me well up. My son had just been born and I was overwhelmed with not understanding his needs/feeling like a hopeless mother and this song was played all the time ... it was like a message [:I]
I hadn't really thought about funeral hymns, but the one that always gets me is Be Still my soul, set to Finlandia by sibelius. especially with a treble or male voice choir. ?
Bright eyes You will never walk alone and pal on my cradle days ? Crying just thinking about them. We had barbers adigo for strings palyed when we got married so i often shed a tear to that,
quote:Originally posted by FluffyDuck It's by Christina Aguillera but cant remember the name of it. It's about her Dad, he died before they made up. It gets me every time as it's so sad ?

Oh,I think I know the one. I was tempted to play it at my wedding because in part it's how i feel about my mum [V]
Oh now, what's it called?

Is it this one? (you have to get past the strange introduction)
Fields of gold - Eva Cassidy and also her version of Somewhere over the Rainbow.
I think the Fields of Gold song was on a cancer research ad and where people are wishing that their parents could see them getting married etc and it makes me think of my dad?
You raise me up. (Westlife) You'll never walk alone.(Gerry and the Pacemakers) Unchained Melody (The Righteous Bros) Abide with me (hymn) I will return (Springwater)
I just voted for 'I will return' - by Springwater. My mum and gran used to play this when i was a few months old,(it was out in 1971) and i used to have a big petted lip on me (how cruel)!!!
See what you think yourself, i also think the music in it is so sad?
