Stag do :-(

katie80uk, 13 September, 2014 at 20:13 Posted on Planning 0 4

Well my partner and 15 mates are in Leeds this weekend for his stag do. I feel so worried.

I know nothing will happen but its like I'm looking for bad things to go wrong before the wedding. Anyone else feel like this?

I did fret when OH was on his stag, not because I didn't trust him but because I was worried what his friends would do. It turned out ok, apart from him staggering in at 4 in the morning and spending the next day in bed recovering! I can understand hun as you do hear bad stories sometimes. Try keeping positive I'm sure it will be fine.

What exactly are you worrying might happen? Forcing yourself to be really specific might help you to then think about what's realistic. Certainly worrying isn't going to stop anything bad from happening but it for sure will stop you from enjoying your weekend! What could you do instead of worrying? Worries are just thoughts don't forget and you don't have to get caught up with them. So if you're thinking for example "Fiancé might break his leg" try saying to yourself "I'm having the thought that ... fiancé might break his leg" and see if that helps you get a little distance.

I'll be taking all my own advice in a couple of weeks when my fiancé is going to Amsterdam for three nights xx

I was just as worried when my OH flew to Berlin for his mates stag! He was only an usher but I worried about all sorts. What if he was robbed, what if he missed his flight? What if he lost his tickets? What if...?

In the end they had a fabulous time, we're as safe as houses with each other and the boys spent most of time saying how they wished their OH were with them and how much fun that would have been?!

I'm sure it will be fine honey, they tend to look after each other at those sorts of things. Worst case scenario he'll have a sore head from too much booze or may still be drunk when he comes home. Not so bad really. Smiley winking xxxx

My OH is on his stag do as we speak, am I worried? Not a jot! He's a grown man having a fun weekend with his friends. I haven't heard from him and honestly haven't given a second thought as to what he's up to. Just relax!

Ha ha, if you're worried think how he must be feeling! I was terrified for my stag do!

To be honest all the stag do's I've been on just involve far too much alcohol, some sickness and sleeping in random places. I'm sure he'll be fine.
