Stainless steel splashbacks - how to clean?

Hi Hitchers

I have a random question & wonder if anyone could help please? I have just moved into a new home where the previous owners fitted stainless steel splashbacks on the wall in the kitchen - they look great - but actually could do with cleaning as there are cooking & water stains... does anyone have any ideas?

Cleaning the oven is the only household job my Husband does!

He uses Mister Muscle glass cleaner and kitchen towel, then polishes with a spray foam we got from Wilko's, in a purply/blue tin.

He uses Mister Muscle glass cleaner on everything, he reckons its brill!

You can buy stainless steel cleaner in the supermarket here. That might get rid of the stains and marks. Then wipe baby oil over it to protect it and clean it in future. This is what they use on displays in showrooms to keep it looking nice.

I used to work at mcdonalds and we always used ajax on all of the stanless steel. Just that and very hot water would always get it nice and clean.

We use Method stainless steel cleaner with the microfibre cloth on our hob and oven door - works a treat. You don't need to use much either - I haven't bought a bottle in over a year!
