Still struggling ..... wedding ceremony music .... help!!!

I posted about this the other day as well- it's so difficult. We are thinking (after lots of Hitched advice) Elbow- One Day Like this.

What about an instrumental/ classical piece- Einaudi/ Nyman?

Or a song that you both love- doesn't have to be necessarily a 'love song'.

I had Glasgow Love theme, it's from the film Love Actually and it's beautiful. My friend played it on the piano for me too as I walked in.

I've got a violinist and pianist called Simon Jordan playing for my ceremony. I've picked "Better Together" by Jack Johnson for him to play as I leave. I enter to the canon by Pachelbel and am also thinking about Elbow as we sign the register. He's sent me a list as long as your arm of music he's played before, but he's willing to play anything I select. So the ball's still in my court! hehe

Have you made a decision? I'm very stuck on this, I need to make a decision as we are thinking of having a sax player but she needs to start practising...... Decisions Decisions :-)

Go on itunes and find the 'hawaian slack keys kings' version of better together by jack johnson... same song, same voice but there's something about the tempo that just makes me well up!

It's definitely the one for our wedding!

Im too struggling to find a song that is perfect we quite like "all you need is love" by the beatles for the signing of the register but thats as far as we have gotten! altho i do like your sugestion of canon D!! so that is now a contender!

We had you are so beautiful by Joe Cocker but that may be too mushy. Another one we had was Toothpaste Kisses by the Maccabees. It's really short but I love the lyrics.
