Strapless dress - bra or no bra

Anne2015, 12 April, 2015 at 16:15 Posted on Planning 0 4

Hi everyone.

I wasn't planning on wearing a bra with my strapless dress as I'm very small chested and don't need one however I read somewhere that a bra can help to keep your dress up. Does anyone have any recommendations? thank you.

Well I've wore a normal strapless evening dress with and without a bra and never noticed a difference so if you're happy to not wear one and the dress is fitted to you not wearing one I can't see a problem.

I didn't wear one, think it would have been a lot less comfortable. If your dress works without one, then no need to worry

Definitely not true - a well fitted dress is best with no bra as bras are an unnatural shape. You can have bust cups sewn in to give a slight curve to the bodice, but don't wear a bra if you don't need to Smiley smile

If your dress is well fitted you won't need a bra, alternatively you could wear a strapless corset or bodice piece underneath to tie into your wedding night treat for your OH
