Sunbeds

Joanna, 14 October, 2024 at 08:43 Posted on Beauty & Wellbeing 0 2

Hi all,

Firstly, i know the dangers of sunbeds, and I am only planning to use them for the wedding - I hate the sun so I don't ever sit out in it unless I don't have a choice on holiday etc. Would appreciate replies from people that have been in this situation.

So I have some very stubborn tan lines, that have been with me over a year now.

My wedding dress is strapless, so these need to go!

Can anyone advise if sunbeds would actually help get rid of these and give an even colour? I'm not too keen on getting a spray tan.

I am getting married in May, so planning to start using them once a week for a couple of months before hand - I tan quite quickly.

Thanks all! Smiley smile

    Hello,

Moderation: Even though you tan quickly, be sure not to overdo it. Start with short sessions (around 5-7 minutes) and gradually increase the time, but don’t exceed the recommended exposure times to avoid burns or long-term skin damage.

    progressive for agents only

Protecting areas with existing tan lines: You might want to cover the areas where the tan lines are darker with a sunscreen or protective lotion to avoid making them worse, while allowing the rest of your skin to catch up.

Gradual process: It may take a few weeks for sunbeds to even out your skin tone, so starting a couple of months before the wedding is a good idea. Keep track of your sessions, and don’t expect instant results—sunbeds typically work best when used over time.

Moisturize: To avoid dryness and peeling, make sure you’re moisturizing your skin regularly. Hydrated skin will hold the tan better and appear more even.

Alternative options: Since you’re not keen on spray tans, you might consider using gradual tanning lotions that can help blend tan lines in a more controlled way.

    Best Regards
