Sunset weddings

Try searching for "twilight" weddings. The reason is as I am sure you have guessed is that if a venue is holding a lower cost evening wedding then they cannot hold a more expensive all day day one. Perhaps mid week or not peak season you may find more venues offering it.

Also try a venue that has the capability to hold more than one wedding on a day so that can have the big all day one and yours.

I love a good sunset so would be a shame if your wedding was at sunset and you actually miss the photo opportunities. I think a perfect time would be about 2 hours before sunset so that you can have all your photos in some daylight and finish off with some sunset ones before going straight into the evening.

We have booked a sunset wedding at the Roman baths in Bath. Can’t report back on it yet, but the reason we opted for it was the beautiful venue (they only offer sunrise or sunset weddings, and you won’t catch me getting up at 5am!). The photos of evening weddings look beautiful. We are choosing to do photos elsewhere before the ceremony in order to have more time and make the most of daylight.
