This is awful, and I don't believe this is standard practice at all in wedding supplier circles. Most reply within 24-48 hours and want you to book!

I hope these are just isolated instances and that everything else goes how it should, which is engaging, fun & EXCITING!!!!

I also struggled with this in the beginning, being a 2025 bride! However have slowly realised that the suppliers who are interested, will reply - and others won't even have a courtesy auto response set up. I think it's a good sign when people are responsive! So do your research and I'm sure your suppliers will be really excited to be part of your day 💕

But if they are not a professional they may be using a gmail account which is very sensitive to spam so correspondence could be going into their junk box and not seen.

A professional supplier will ( usually ) have a proper email address like this

bill @ fantasticweddingphotography.co.uk and not

billsphotos @gmail.com.

So a dedicated email should end in their website address - usually.

I say professional because those dedicated email addresses cost money and people doing weddings perhaps as side job may not see he need to spend the extra money setting up dedicated email address.

PS I had to leave gaps because the system will not allow posting of email addresses ( even made up ones )
