Hi, my husband and I are approaching our 9th wedding anniversary this September, and it had me thinking about our tenth next year. I asked him if he would like to do some alone or with the family and he said alone, we have 2 girls and rarely have time alone and haven't been out out in year's hahaha! . So it got me thinking were in Northumberland, not far from Newcastle, so Edinburgh isn't far to go, and we could make it into a long weekend away and get the girls looked after.
Anyway, what I'm thinking is surprising him with an outdoor garden hand fasting renewal of vows, then a private dining experience, followed by some of Edinburgh nightlife. I want it really simple, romantic and just us. Has anyone got any recommendations for budget friendly hotels to stay in, places we could do the hand fasting, somewhere for private dining, and any recommendations for a night out. It would be on Thursday 21st sep 2023, I wanted to do it at 2;30 the time we originally got married.
Any help would be great, it would be a bit like an elopement, lol. Thanks ☺️
