Sweetheart tables - tacky or not?

Hello all,

We have 62 people coming to our wedding breakfast (including me and FH) and rectangle tables of 6 at the venue so 10 tables of 6 with 2 people left over. The most logical thing to do to avoid having 2 tables of 7 people crammed onto a 6 person table would be so have me and FH at the front on a “sweetheart” table.

I cant decide if this is a nice idea or slightly tacky? Any and all opinions welcome!!

    No not tacky at all and for a lot of people it solves a lot of family politics by not having a top table

    I don't think it's tacky, it can be good to make sure you have protected time with just you two.

    Not that either IMO as they are not that common and people will see them as something different at your wedding
