Fairy lights on wire would work well with hoop, I got mine on eBay. They are battery powered and I’ve hidden the battery pack with flowers.

They are called rice lights. The LEDs are like grains of rice and are on a very thin bendable wire. Look for the ones that use button cell battery's as the battery section is small and easily hidden. But do not trust the battery's if the lights come with them - get some fresh ones for your wedding.
