Table decor - which size fish bowls

skyrocket, 2 May, 2011 at 22:43 Posted on Planning 0 3

I want to have glass bowls with flowers in (daisies I think) but what size fish bowls do you ladies who have them for your decor. And what size for the top table.

What I mean is something like this:

I can't see your link, but I am having quite large fishbowls Smiley smile

They do those shallow ones, but I think the bigger ones make more of a statement, but we may have the shallow ones on the top table so we can see over them easier and so that it/s a bit different to other tables. Smiley smile

I would go for the next size up as it's difficult to tell but it looks a bit on the small side for including flowers. When you say 'daisies' .... are you meaning proper daisies as you get growing in your lawn i.e., the tiny artificial ones? If so, they would be fine. However if you are wanting Gerbera which a lot of people call daisies (they are part of the 'daisy' family):-

then these are large headed flowers which will need a bit more room to put two or three in. One single gerbera bloom might be OK though.

We use 12" ones on the tables & then the mini ones which are 4" along the top table. If you are putting them on Mirrors then remember to leave at least an inch

all the way around the bowl.

Mini ones with one flower head up close
