table names?

Ours are different monkeys with a picture of each type alo. It was really hard trying to find 15 (cute) type of monkey!

The top table is The Tree Top Table.

We love monkeys, all our cards to each other are monkey ones etc. A little sad, but something we love, will make guests chuckle when they see are they are the 'pygmy marmosets' (google soooo cute!) and very 'us.'

We are naming our tables after our favourite cocktails; Woo Woo, Mojito, Cosmopolitan, Blue Lagoon, Daiquiri, Pina Colada etc...

Wow loads of great ideas!!! i love the idea of your children as we have 4 children too also i was thinking of having carribean islands as we got engaged in dominican republic.

We were thinking old cartoons like Family Ness, Pigeon Street, Shoe People etc, just a thought

I was just going for places that mean something to us i.e. university towns/ cities we've lived / holiday spots

I like this idea and definitely applies to us. Lots of college rivalry though - not sure OH could bare to name a table after my college (and visa versa) even if we didn't have to sit on it!

Ours are being named after Italian cities. We went on our first holdiay together to Florence and are going on a mini tour of Italy for our honeymoon.

Me and OH are having the same issue with table names. I was thinking because his name is "Amor" which means "love" in Spanish, that we would call each table "love" in a different language, although OH doesn't agree with me because there isn't a lot of difference between Spanish, French and Italian etc. But I love the idea!! ?

Me and my fiance are naming our tables after the Busy Babes that died in the 58 Munich air disaster.

My OH is a total movie geek so we're having the names of our favourite films with mini versions of the film posters as the table namecards. We might include some trivia cards relating to the film as "ice breakers" but haven't really decided yet.

My H2B is Brian May in a Queen tribute band, so we are having Queen song titles. My Best Friends, Friends will be Friends not so sure anyone will want to sit on the table 'Fat Botttom Girls'!!

Ours are probably going to be some of the names of Las Vegas hotels (The bellagio, Venetian,Wynn etc) as that is where we got engaged!

We're getting married in Nov & love to go on holiday in Cornwall so we've decided to name our tables after all the different places we've been & that mean something to us :-) xx

As both myself and OH are into BMX/DownHill Mountain biking i suggested that we name our tables after the brands of bikes we both ride on such as Haro,Mongoose ,Giant etc. This has gone down very well with OH and other bikers

WereWeser thinking of having album covers on the tables and on a board the back of the album where track listing would be the guest names

These are all so imaginative! We're having the corners at Silverstone race track as we're both huge F1 fans and that's where OH proposed. Top table will be Luffield as that's where we were (well, technically the car park behind....). Think will leave out Maggots though.

We are naming ours after Santa's reindeers to match our wintery theme!

Racehorses - mainly Grand National & Gold Cup winners. Im a very horsey girl & my OH is a betting man so very fitting for us both

If we have time to get past simply numbering the tables I'm sure they will be named after the flowers in our garden, from the hardy shrubs and lilac tree to the seasonal bedding and wildflowers in our little 'wild' patches and mini-meadow. But I won't be devastated if we don't get that far.

we're having each named after a type of apple (on account of me marrying MrApples) the centrpieces will be tall vases filled with the apples (and sticks and candles and a few other bits) favours will be that apple for each guest. The top table is the Big Apple.

We have toyed with lots of different ideas. Family names through the generations, sweeties, school subjects (being high school sweethearts n all that), famouns couples but in the end we have decided on.................TV shows haha.

Not very romantic I know, but our favourite thing to to do is curl up on the sofa and watch telly. We have quite a random taste so will have a real mixture from Top Gear to An Idiot Abroad to Celebrity Juice. We love it, suppose thats all that matters

We might go with standard numbers but if we do decide to use names we're gonna go with movie/tv couples. Ie, Ron and Hermione, Wall-e and Eve, Marshall and Lily, Carrie and Mr Big, Turk and Carla!

We are both huge football fans and season ticket holders at our respective clubs, me manchester united and oh Liverpool (very unique I'm sure) and so we are having players from both sides, he picks a name I pick a name etc. Only thing we are struggling on is the top table, I think it should be Eric cantona and he thinks it should be kenny dalgleish....think we are just going to call the top table 'the king' a this can fit both ways! X

We absolutely love NYC, it's a second home to us so we are going to name our tables after the landmarks there - Liberty, Empire State, Rockerfeller, Central Park etc.

We love New York, have been a few times and it's where OH proposed so for us there was no doubt, we've named our tables after places in NY.

I love this idea. We haven't ever discussed table names, but I think I might steal this one!
