Table place names

future.mrs.c, 22 April, 2014 at 12:23 Posted on Planning 0 6

Hi everyone

What are you doing when it comes to place names. Like mums, dads etc... Especially when it comes to grandparents? It feels strange addressing my nan/grandad by their names. Ha!

Didn't know whether to put 'proper' names on table plan. Then nan/grandad etc on place setting?

What are you doing?

Thank you

Personally, we will just be using their proper names :-)

When I did my brothers place settings I did 'mother of the bride' 'father of the groom' etc on the place cards as felt funny about putting their full names. I put full names on the table plan though. For the grandparents place settings I put the names we know them by ie nanna and full names again on the table plan. They werent sitting on the same tables so there was no confusion but if they were you could put nanna surname maybe?

Unfortunately between us where we could have 8, we only have one grandparent able to come to our wedding - my nanna. This does mean though that there's less confusion about who is who. I think I'll do her full name on the table plan, but put 'Nanna' on her place setting.
