I love the threads on WP about tattoos on brides. Apart from the chav-debate, which was highly amusing, it's nice to know the stories behind the images. Unfortunately I can't start us off with a flash because I don't have any, but anyone care to share their artwork?

    I was never a fan of coloured tattoos either until I saw my friends sunflower on her lower back - I think the pigments haev come such a long way now.

    I don't have any tattoos mainly because I can not think of what I would have done.

    Kirstabubble will appreciate this one:

    Right hip:

    Left hip:

    Left wrist:

    I also have another on my lower back and the date I met OH on my left foot in Roman Numberals.

    I have one on the right hand side of my lower back which I dont have a picture of and another smaller one on the side of my right wrist.

    This isn't a great pic but you get the idea of where it is.

    I really want one of a black/grey and white Lily with an open circular locket draped around the stem to symbolise our wedding day and the memory of my grandparents who are no longer with us. I can visualise what I want it to look like but am rubbish at putting it down on paper to look remotely like anything!

    I had this one 6 years ago on one wrist:

    This one 3 years ago on the other wrist:

    And this one most recently which was completed over a couple of sessions, last one 2 weeks ago. It was a cover up of an old tattoo I got 5 years ago:

    There are some amazing tattoos here! I don't have one, but have been seriously considering it. Just need to make a final decision as to what I want.

    This! I would like a paw print on the front part of my shoulder, just across from my collar bone. I have 4 perfect little kitten claw scars there that I received when Mav decided I was a climbing frame...

    There are some brilliant tattoos here, real works of art and James I love that one on your thigh but I did do that thing to start with where you can't work out what you are looking at and thought it was a candle stick! ?

    I've got a small red heart sort of where the waist band of my trousers sit, it's only about the size of a 20p but I love that it is covered most of the time. Hardly anyone knows I've got it and people are always surprised when I tell them I've got one.

    I sometimes think I'm the only person in the world without a tattoo. Part of me really wants one but part of me hates them. I know id chose something then change my mind and hate it after a while. OH has my name on him, I really didn't want him to get it because it seems a bit of a jinx, but he has had it 3 years now and all is well :-)

    Tattoos are definitely like marmite, you either love them or hate them! I love both. All of my tattoos can be covered if needed, but I'm very proud of mine. They all represent something and were done with a lot of forethought.

    How did I ever miss this thread! I am tattoo obsessed! Lovely ones here though some great pieces!

    To the lady that said about stretch marks... you can have them tattooed! A friend of mine has a tattoo of each of her kids names over the stretch-marks they gave her!

    I've got 2, a swirly pattern on my foot and a small red bow on my lower back. I never liked colour tattoos either but absolutely love mine! I don't have any recent photos of it, only 1 blurry one when it had literally just been done, which is about 4 years old so excuse the poor quality!

    Seeing as we have been discussing this on WP thought I would bump (naughty me) so show you my planned tatts. Been putting it off for ages and ages but new year must equal new ink;

    Ive loved the quote; "we're all mad here" since an ex told me I was mental and need to be locked up. Nice chap he was.

    MrMini and I want matching lyrics from a song by Biffy Clyro. These will go on my inner right arm, a bit like below, they will say "nothing lasts forever";

    and I love skulls and I have been umming and ahing over a foot tattoo for a while, I really like this one;

    and this one is totally impractical but part of me loves it;

    How will the second one look with bingo wings? I suppose you could tell people you had big muscles before and that "nothing lasts forever" lol

    Similar to Mini, if I was to get a tattoo it would be "this too shall pass" on my inner upper arm. I'd like to get it on my wrist, but some NHS employers are funny about visible tattoos. All of this is irrelevant though as I'm far too much of a wimp!
