Teeth whitning before the wedding!

Jess, 16 June, 2023 at 13:25 Posted on Beauty & Wellbeing 0 18

I need some advice my wedding is 2 months away. I am with a private dentist and we talked about doing teeth whitening, i was on board at first as i thought it was included free in my monthly plan. During my check up last week i brought it up again and she told me that we would have to start it next month in mid July. She said the price for the treatment would be £350, which not going to lie surprised me. Just wondering if you think i should go for it or look for cheaper alternatives online. I want my teeth nice and white for the photos but not sure if its worth it as £350 as this can go on other things needed for the wedding. There was also the option of a monthly plan paying £30 for a year but not sure if it is sensible doing a direct debit. Would be great if anybody has other alternatives or suggestions.

If you do decide to go for it please make sure you use a proper dental service and not a cosmetic beautician service. Whitening involves strong chemicals, in your mouth, and is regulated by the BDA. i have seen so many horror stories from people going to beauty salons or online providers as the chemicals are not regulated and can cause no end of problems including damage to teeth, gums and mouth if not handled correctly, which you would not want before your wedding. the cost quoted is reasonable for a proper qualified dental professional to complete and the DD option is a good way to get it done without upfront full payment so makes the cost more palatable

That sounds like a good price to me for a qualified dentist. I am expecting to pay this amount.

I got mine done, I wanted to do it for a while anyway, but the wedding provided the reason. I went through my dentist, and it was £295 for the ones where you apply a gel inside a retainer for a month. I have more gels than I needed for that, but as long as I keep them unopened they can be used with a year.
They have definitely worked, and I prefer my smile, however I wanted them done anyway. Just be prepared if you do the same kind of thing as me, you have to go onto a “white diet” for a month, so nothing with any strong colours. Getting ready for the wedding is stressful enough, but having it crazy change what I could eat nearly drove me mental!

I’m getting married in 2 months and had teeth whitening through my dentist and am SO glad I did. It is expensive but in my opinion it’s totally worth it. I was quite paranoid about the colour of my teeth and I look at photos now and am so much happier with them. Hope this helps xx

I totally get how you feel, weddings are expensive, and £350 is a lot, especially if you thought it was already included in your plan. It might be worth asking your dentist again if there's any discount or smaller plan they can offer just for your wedding.

Sometimes places like Dentist Littleton have more flexible options, so just having a quick chat could help. If not, there are some good home whitening kits or strips that work pretty well for a short-term boost, just make sure they’re safe and don’t cause sensitivity. Hope everything goes smoothly and congrats on your big day!

I went through something similar before my sister’s wedding, wanted a brighter smile but didn’t want to risk any damage or waste money on cheap whitening kits. Professional whitening really does make a difference, especially for big events and photos where lighting can exaggerate even small discolorations.

If you’re looking for a trustworthy option, Shire Doctors and Dentists offer professional whitening treatments that are done under safe, clinical supervision. They make sure the process suits your teeth’s sensitivity level and shade goals, which helps you avoid the uneven results that often happen with over-the-counter kits. You can check them out here: https://maps.app.goo.gl/PECvYrmHRhuDkMLD8.

The price your dentist quoted sounds about standard for a professional service, but if you’re considering spreading out the cost or getting a personalized plan, it’s worth comparing with clinics that tailor packages around upcoming events. The key is to make sure the treatment is supervised by qualified dental professionals, your smile will thank you in those wedding photos.

£350 does sound like a lot. You could try whitening strips or home kits they worked fine for my friend before her wedding. Also, planning can get stressful, so during my wedding prep I used to play this bus simulator ultimate mod apk in my free time it’s a chilled game and helped me take my mind off things for a bit. Hope the wedding goes well!

If you’ve only got two months before the big day, I’d personally stick with treatment through a proper dentist rather than trying to save a bit with online kits. The last thing you want is sensitivity or patchy results right before the wedding. The price your dentist quoted is actually pretty standard for supervised whitening, and most clinics I’ve been to in Sydney are in that same ballpark.

If you’re still weighing it up, you could check what other local dentists charge just to compare. At Indental Castle Hill, for example, they offer professional whitening with a proper consultation so you know exactly what to expect and you can learn more about their approach through their info page if you want to see what’s usually included. It might help you feel more confident about whether the £350 is fair for what you're getting.

A friend of mine rushed into a cheaper online kit before her engagement shoot, and it caused so much sensitivity she couldn’t drink cold water for days. She ended up doing dentist-supervised whitening anyway, so she paid twice.

If your current dentist allows a monthly plan without locking you into anything long-term beyond the treatment, that could be a practical middle ground, especially with wedding costs piling up. But whichever option you choose, I’d definitely keep it dentist-supervised so the results are even and safe for such an important day.

It makes sense to want a bright smile for wedding photos, but £350 is definitely the kind of price that makes you stop and think — especially when there are a million other expenses before the big day. I went through the same dilemma and ended up getting my whitening done at https://www.anestident.it/en/ and what convinced me was that a professional clinic can tailor the treatment to your gums, enamel sensitivity and the shade you actually want instead of risking irritation or patchy results with cheaper kits. They also check the health of your teeth before whitening, offer different whitening methods depending on how fast you need results, and explain how to maintain the shade so you’re not paying again right after the wedding. For a once-in-a-lifetime event like wedding photos, I felt better going somewhere that prioritizes safety and long-lasting results rather than experimenting and hoping for the best.

Honestly, if you’re trying to save money and still get proper, safe treatment, you might want to check out bookinghealth . They’re pretty good at matching people with clinics or doctors based on their budget — including more affordable options.

It might give you a clearer sense of what prices should look like and whether your dentist is charging on the higher end. Even if it’s not whitening specifically, they can point you toward places that fit your income level and don’t push unnecessary costs.

Might be worth a quick look before committing to £350.

    Hi Jess,
For teeth whitening, £350 at a private dentist is pretty standard for professional in-office treatment, and it usually gives the fastest, most noticeable results. If you’re looking for affordable alternatives, there are good at-home whitening kits or strips (like Crest 3D Whitestrips) that can work in a few weeks, but they usually take longer and may not be as dramatic.

If you go with the dentist, starting it 4–6 weeks before the wedding is perfect timing to get that bright smile for photos. About the £30/month plan — if it’s just for the whitening, a direct debit for a year might not be worth it unless you plan on using other dental treatments included.

Also, avoid anything too harsh right before the big day to prevent sensitivity. And don’t forget regular polishing and keeping away from staining drinks like coffee/red wine closer to the wedding!

I also want to share a bit about my wedding prep chill time. During my free time, I play GTA San Andreas Mod APK — it’s a relaxed game and really helps me take my mind off things for a while. I hope the wedding goes well! You can also download the game from trusted sources like: gtasandresapk.com

£350 is definitely on the higher side, especially when you’ve got wedding expenses piling up. Professional whitening does give stronger and safer results, but it’s worth getting quotes from a couple of other dentists first — prices can vary a lot. You can try reputable home-whitening kits too, just avoid the super-cheap ones online because you never really know what you’re getting. It’s kind of like downloading Truecaller — you only trust it when it’s from the official source, but the random third-party versions are risky. Same idea with whitening kits: stick to trusted brands or proper dental practices so you don’t end up damaging your teeth right before the big day.
If you want to download TrueCaller just download it from trusted sources like: https://truecallarapk.com/

Before my wedding, I faced a piles issue. After consultation, I went for laser piles treatment in Dubai with Dr. Murtaza, and the treatment went really well with a smooth recovery.

Totally understand your dilemma. weddings get expensive fast, and £350 is definitely something to think twice about. If your teeth are already healthy, you might want to look into dentist-approved home whitening kits as a more budget-friendly option, especially with two months to go. It’s a bit like GTA San Andreas . you don’t always need the most expensive upgrade to get good results; sometimes the smarter, cost-effective choice works just as well if you plan it right. Whatever you choose, confidence matters more than perfect whiteness, and that always shows in photos. Best of luck with the wedding!

Honestly, £350 is quite a normal price for professional whitening, especially when it’s done by a qualified dentist. Since your wedding is only a couple of months away, going with a safe, supervised option is usually the best choice because DIY kits can sometimes cause sensitivity or uneven results.

If budget is a concern, you could try a mild at-home kit first and see if it gives enough improvement before committing to a full treatment. Many people combine both approaches to save money while still getting good results for photos.

Wedding planning can also get stressful, so it’s important to take breaks and relax a bit. During my own busy schedule, I usually unwind by playing classic open-world games like GTA. If you’re into that kind of thing too, you can check out this guide for the latest GTA San Andreas Mod APK versions and features:

Hope your wedding preparations go smoothly and you get the perfect smile for your big day 🙂
