Thank you gift for 'Reader'???

tahdah, 13 of September of 2009 at 18:34 Posted on Planning 0 7

Do I really need to bother with a small thank you gift for the lady doing the short reading at our wedding, her and her husband (along with the rest of our guests) are getting a special local gift rather than a little favour and a mention in the speech.

That's enough, isn't it?

Yeah i would say so. Like you i had planned on just placing them at the table.

my reader was going to get a box of sweeties from handy candy - she is a massive sweetlover, but as she was just out of hosp one of the bms stepped in to read on her behalf

they are upstairs at my mums where im currently housesitting and im resisting the urge to scoff em!

I've been toying with the idea of getting our readers a little something, maybe a small bunch of flowers or a bottle of wine. Not sure now though because people we've spoken to didn't bother, they simply thanked them in the speeches.

    Hmmm, I don't think I will worry about it...I'm sure she won't.

Hmm, I wouldn't bother if they were just doing a short reading. Our readers are our gushers too so will be doing loads of other tasks on the day.... we're having the best man's girlfriend singing during the signing of the regsiter and will be getting her a little bottle of wine or something, just because she's standing up and singing 2 songs for the duration, in my wee pea sized brain that deserves a little something ...
