Thick cooking question - vermouth

Is that the same as Martini? Or should I jsut use white wine instead?

    Martini is a brand name for vermouth. It's one of the oldest vermouth manufacturers, I think. I'm sure Flump will correct me if I'm wrong. ?

    It would depend on which Martini though, I'd think. Not sure I'd slosh Rosso or Rosato into the cooking but then again... why not? ? Wine would do just as well.
