Wooah, they were quick responses, thanks!

JM&DM, we would have amazing grace, but it's upsetting for FIL2B (I think it was played at his mother's funeral) so we've vetoed it!

Can't see who it was who said they were having All things bright and beautiful and Lord of the Dance - I love those songs and they are ones that we've almost decided on, but we need another one.

Gosh you've had to notify early. We're getting married on 29th May and still haven't made our final decisions! Perhaps I should be putting my panic hat on!

Have you had to pay a copyright fee for morning has broken?

Is it not included with your package so to speak? The copyright license I mean. Ours is included in the church price.

Ours is, and we were also told not to forget to write the copyright number at the bottom of the order of service.

We are having 'One more step along the world I go' and 'Give me joy in my heart'

neither did ours and i've never seen copyrights on order of services before at all!! I think if its possible to copy and paste lyrics from a website, that surely they're not copyrighted!

lol, I'm with you on this...I've just looked at the sample OOS's I was given & none of them have anything other than the title & words.

ETA - Maybe no one cares in NI lol

Honestly, I'm not making it up ?

If we want Morning has Broken, we have to pay a copyright fee of £50, it's not included in the church fees, and it has to be typed underneath the hymn on the OOS.

Oh no, I didn't mean to scare you. It may well just be our parish.

Some lovely hymns chosen by everyone. It's so hard to just pick three.....

? I do believe you...it might be the parish though. Just had a quick google & it looks like some parishes pay for a certain amount & some don't.

Anywho, I'm going to assume that since the minister said nothing at our choices, then we don't need to get one...I'll double check when I send him the proof to read?

Hi Natty, I would expect you have to have hymns & I know we were asked to have at least 2. I think you will need to check with your own church, as they can vary & it can depend alot on the denomination.

We are having Give me joy in my heart and One more step along the world I go. We picked them as we thought most people would know them and they are quite upbeat. Hopefully people will like these!
