Those that had hen t-shirts made...advice please

bigpants, 9 October, 2008 at 19:35 Posted on Planning 0 6

?

I'd like to get some t-shirts printed for my friend's hen night which I'm organising. If you had them, which company did you use to print them? I've found some people on e-bay offering £8 a t-shirt, but looking about for the best deal.

Also, I was wondering whether everyone pays for their own or whether I should cover the cost of them .There will be 8 of us (oh and I don't know 4 of them that well, so feel a bit cheeky if I ask for money, but it's an 'all of us or none of us' type of thing I guess)

I'd expect to pay for my own if I was going to a Hen Party, but wouldn't expect the Bride to pay for hers, maybe split the cost of hers between everyone or between the bridesmaids?

I've had a couple of fab t-shirts from here last week for the wedding, and some kids ones for Xmas presents, great quality and really fast despatch: https://www.ebay.co.uk/str/creativetshirtcompany

No I don't think you should cover the cost for them. And the brides t-shirt cost should be spilt between everyone IMO.

Over the years when me or my friends have had t-shrts done we have often not met many of the people. I'd just get everyone's email addresses and be up front with the cost and say this is what you had in mind to make it a special night for your friend and ask everyone to let you know that they are happy with it and the cost.

Also get the money up front otherwise there's always (from mine and friend's experiences) people who don't pay up and it sounds like you wouldn't want to ask them for the money on the day face to face if you don't know some of them that well so asking for it up front (bank transfer?) might be your best bet.

I had them, but my sister organised everything so I don't know where she got them printed. I do know that she bought plain t-shirts from Primark for £2 each and had them printed, and that she added the cost of them (and the badges she had made) to the cost of the hotel and travel so that everyone paid for their own (and mine!)

I got mine printed at vista print, the quality was good and we had a picture on the front and writing on the back for £6.27 per t'shirt including postage and packaging. (vistaprint.co.uk)

I paid for all of mine. Its a great keepsake for the girls who came away on my hen weekend.
