*Little_Jen*, 6 of July of 2009 at 10:08 Posted on Planning 0 10

Ok Throwing Confetti Question

I am going to get these from the Hitched shop:

https://www.hitched.co.uk/wedstore/confetti-cones-x-10-ivory-15938-0.html

and fill them with these:

https://www.hitched.co.uk/wedstore/pick-n-mix-petals-cookies-cream-1-litre-15225-0.html

On the discribtion its say 1 litre = approximately 10 handfuls

How many litres do you think I will need?

Not sure how much you want to spend but I do know that Cox & Cox do the cones/stand boxy thingy/petals... don't think it's too cheap though....

Ooooh lovely stuff! I have no experience of this but I would say maybe to get them for 30% to 50% of guests at one handful each? From experience it is always the ladies that are into the confetti throwing more than the guys and some guests may well bring their own.

I'm still surprised at the amount of weddings that provide confetti nowadays, it has always been the tradition that the guests bring it along with rice etc.

We are provding bubbles, but that's purely for environmental reasons as we don't want to kill the beach with peoples confetti and it's also a gift for any kiddies that come along.

Ah Laura_Lee - boo! I'm not allowed Chinese lanterns and people keep suggesting we have them & my OH loves them! Makes me a bit sad when I think about it. Which isn't very often but you just reminded me with your unsmiley face!

We were told by David at PL that we really didn't need much... as you are only allowed to throw the confetti in the ceremony room then he is going to hand out confetti while we are signing the register to the people with aisle seats as the ones at the other end won't be able to chuck the stuff far enough to reach you guys when you're walking up.... I imagine it'll be the same as this for the Belvedere? He just suggested getting a basket so that people can just grab a handful.
