Hello , I’m getting married November next year and was wondering when do people think I should send save the dates. We are getting married on a Thursday and want to give people enough time to put holidays in with work.

    As it is a week day I would send sooner as people will need to use leave so need more notice. If it is booked there is no harm sending them now, or I would say by the summer at the latest as although your wedding is late next year people will be starting to book their 2023 holidays and using leave up so better for them to know now

    I agree - for midweek, send them now. I know a few people who have to book time off up to a year in advance.

    Please send them ASAP! We just went to a Thursday wedding with "standard" timeline notice and it was such a mad scramble thinking about whether we could go and getting time off work and then as it wasn't local to us we wound up having to take three days which then screwed up other holidays we had planned. Would really have appreciated knowing earlier so I think your guests will thank you!
