kat031284, 29 of July of 2012 at 13:44 Posted on Planning 0 7

I keep seeing pictures of tiaras that instead of going on the top of your head almost wrap round the sides of your head and balance on your forehead with jewels coming down or pearls etc but when i search for these online i cannot find them as do not know what they are called, can anyone help please???

I think they are based on the Indian wedding 'tikka', so try that.

As 3D said 'forehead band'; you can also try searching for 'circlet' (tends to bring up more traditional celtic/ medieval type headdresses but also worth a try).

    Hi,

The forehead bands are also called circlets. I make hair vines and hair chains which are similar to this and can be worn with many hairstyles. These are the 'Gwyneth' and 'Leah' hair vines, they can be worn across the forehead or in the hair.

This is the Lydia hair chain I have just finished for a bride:

Like the others have said circlets, forehead bands or forehead vines will bring up loads of options. I've got a few bespoke designs This is secured with ribbon or clasp

whereas this one just sits in place and can be secured with kirby grips if required (ignore the fact this is black and pink)

More options available as well. x

Flo & Percy have some FAB stuff in their website, they are pricey but you could always sell it on Ebay or on here afterwards.

I will be buying mine from there.
