Time on invite!?

Wildberry, 11 December, 2021 at 22:14 Posted on Planning 0 4
Silly question but do you write the time your getting married or 15 minutes before on the invite? So no late comers ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜‚

We have said Ceremony at 12, and guess to be seated by 11.45. I think most people are respectful of timings and will be there early anyway

If they are then that is better than late! We have been specific as our ceremony space is an hour away and we only have it for 2. 5 hours so we will be on time to get the most of it! I have even done specific directions and times to leave from various locations to prevent lateness, not a control freak honest! ๐Ÿ˜‚

In my experience some people will ALWAYS be late, very often there will be someone either running up the church path as the bride is exiting the car or the same at a civil wedding venue.

I find that for a Church wedding if people are told 1 o'clock wedding then they know the wedding is at 1.00 but I get the impression that sometimes people are confused by a civil ceremony and can not decide weather 1.00 is what time they should get there or that is the time of the ceremony.

The best thing you can do to save any confusion is what Charlotte has said and tell them wedding at X and people to be seated at - 15 mins before that. (Or whatever your venue suggests)
