Time to dress shop?

Hey ! We are getting married October 2025 as well . And I have 3 appointments booked in June to start looking ! Do what feels right for you. Maybe it does sound a bit early but it feels right for me . As well it helps to spread the cost ! Best of luck with you wedding planning ! X

Hello! I get married this July and I started shopping and found my dress at the first place in May of last year! I would recommend once purchased sort your seemstress as I got my ladies last appointment and I booked that in either December or January thinking I had lots of time! Enjoy it all! It’s a very exciting time!

Hey! Right now October 2025 feels miles away but honestly it will be here before you know it.

I am getting married in 12 weeks time and I started shopping in February 2023, I finally bought my dress in March 2023 - The shop owner of the boutique I bought mine from told me that 12-18 months before is the ideal time, especially if you are having a bespoke wedding dress made. Also, I agree with Shay, definitely get your seamstress booked as soon as you have your dress, the appointments go fast.

I am getting married Feb next year went dress shopping on March was told it could takes about 6 months to arrive. So feel like I started looking at the right time.x

I went wedding dress shop end of March at TDR Brides beautiful store they offer your champagne etc. Also I said yes to the dress and got a lovely box of goodies . They said my dress would take 6 months it arrived in 3 months June I get married in Feb 2025. I have booked in with a seamstress 8 weeks before sometime in January before the big day. I am so excited 😊 GO wedding dress shopping and enjoy it hope you find the one trust the feeling you GET!

Hi there, I'm getting married October this year, and bought my dress last October from a wedding dress boutique. It only arrived this month (end of June) after ordering it last year. I still have to go in and do an initial dress fitting in a few week's time, before any alterations. I think one year in advance is pretty good, and gives you plenty of time. Good luck! I don’t think it’s too soon to start dress shopping for your wedding in October 2025 especially if you’re not sure of style. Our wedding is June 2025 and I started looking in March. Bought my dress in May.
