Too cold in Spain in October??

Veronica, 21 February, 2025 at 15:39 Posted on Planning 0 4
Hello,

Just need some advice, I was planning to get married in August but it doesn’t look like that’s happening now. I am happy to push back to October but I just wonder if it might be a bit too chilly in the evenings in that month. It would be around Madrid. We were planning to have outdoor dining, and so anything less than 20C might be too cold.
Does anyone have any experience with this? I already looked up weather online for this time of year but it gives a range 11-20C. Not sure if that is reliable…I could also potentially do on a Spanish island like Mallorca which would probably be a little warmer. Please help!

It’s completely understandable to feel uncertain about shifting your wedding plans, especially with outdoor dining in mind. October around Madrid can be lovely during the day, but evenings often dip closer to 11–15°C, so it might feel a bit chilly without heaters or cozy options like blankets for guests. If warmth is important for comfort and atmosphere, a Spanish island like Mallorca could be a fantastic alternative—typically a few degrees warmer with a beautiful coastal vibe. Think of it like choosing alternative healthy treats —a small change can still be just as sweet and satisfying, offering something different yet delightful for you and your guests.

    Hi Veronica,

Congrats on your upcoming wedding — how exciting, even if the date shift is causing a little extra planning stress! October around Madrid can definitely be a bit unpredictable. While daytime temperatures often hover around 20°C, the evenings can dip closer to 11–15°C, especially in open areas. If you’re set on outdoor dining, it’s smart to consider things like patio heaters or cozy throws for guests, just to stay comfortable.

If you’re really concerned about the chill, a Spanish island like Mallorca is a fantastic alternative. The sea breeze keeps the days mild, and temperatures often stay slightly warmer through early autumn compared to mainland Spain.

And hey, planning a wedding — especially with big shifts — can stir up more emotions than expected! I went through something similar and found tools like past life regression really helpful for managing stress, gaining clarity, and staying grounded in decisions. Sometimes the real answers come from tuning into yourself, rather than just the weather forecast.

Wishing you a beautiful celebration, wherever it happens!

    Hello everyone!

If you want a warmer, more relaxed atmosphere, then moving to a place like Mallorca is a good idea. It’s usually a few degrees warmer, has a beautiful sea view, and is romantic and a little different, but still feels special Block Blast for you and your guests.
